This candle
is so easy to make and the results are stunning!
Let's get
started! |

Start melting your container
wax using a double-boiler method or by using a presto pot. Start
melting your gel wax, too. While your waxes are melting, hot glue
your wick to the bottom of your container (or secure your wick via a
wick-sticker). Be sure that your wick is centered.

Once your gel is
melted, add your red candle dye (one drop at a time, until
you get desired color) and add 1/2 ounce of gel safe
strawberry fragrance
per pound of gel wax. Mix everything up really well.
Let the gel cool until it is thick,
almost like taffy. Then take your container in one hand
and drizzle your gel randomly down the sides of the
container, turning the container as you are drizzling.

Now,
take your container wax and whip it up.
See my
Whipped Wax
Instructions
if you do not already know how to do this.
It
doesn't have to be whipped up really stiff. Pour the
whipped wax into your container.
Let the
whipped wax set up for about 5 minutes, then slip your
ice cream scoop on top, squishing it down into the
whipped wax a bit. Place your strawberry off to the
side, anchoring it in the whipped wax. |

Re-melt your strawberry gel and let it sit again to get
that taffy consistency. Pour gel gently over the top of
your ice cream scoop.
If you
have enough room left on your wick (I didn't), you can
add some more whipped wax on top. |

Now, doesn't that look pretty darn cool? Folks are
not going to believe that it is actually a candle and that YOU made
it!
