This is another "some-assembly-required" candle. You
will amaze your friends and family with it! |

First, secure your
wicks in your
banana split dish with hot glue or wickstickers. |

Next, heat your gel and when it is
melted, add your red candle dye (one drop at a time, until
you get desired color) and add 1/2 ounce of gel safe
strawberry fragrance
per pound of gel wax. Mix everything up really well.
Now that everything has been mixed, pour
a little gel into your banana split dish to help
"anchor" your ice cream scoops.

Slip all of your ice cream scoops
over the wicks and seat firmly in the red gel. Take banana split
halves and position them on either side of the scoops. |

Next, heat more plain gel and when it is
melted, add your dark brown candle dye (I add a lot of
dark brown to get a realistic chocolate syrup look) and add 1/2 ounce of
gel safe chocolate fragrance
per pound of gel wax. Mix everything up really well.
Now that everything has been mixed, pour
a gel over the tops of each ice cream scoop.

Take a little unscented wax crumble to use as your
"chopped nuts" and sprinkle over the gel you just poured
over the ice cream scoops.
Now, if you prefer
this look, you can stop here, trim your wicks and your candle is done. If
you prefer to add the whipped cream and cherries, go to
the next step. |

Now it
is time to whip your wax up. See my
Whipped Wax
Instructions
if you do not already know how to do this.
Once
your wax is whipped, scoop/pour it into your re-usable pastry bag
and squeeze your whipped dollops one by one around each wick and
slide cherries over wick, seating them firmly in the dollop.
I've found that the cherries "seat" better, if you do
one dollop/cherry placement, before moving on to the
next wick.

Trim your wicks and you are done! Now go show it off to
your family and friends! |
