Start melting your gel wax using a
presto pot. While your wax is melting, thread your wicks through the
wick holes in the bottom of your 5" pie shell. And set out
your whipped dollop and cherry embeds within easy reach. |

Once your wax has melted, add
your fragrance (1/2 ounce per pound of wax) and your red dye. You
will only need a few drops of dye per pound of gel. Mix fragrance in gel
for approximately 1-2 minutes to be sure that it has dispersed into
the gel evenly. Now, pour gel into your pie shell. |

I like
to let the gel cool a bit, but it still has some give when I place
my cherry embeds on top of it. Placing the embeds closer to the top
of the pie allows them to be seen a lot clearer. Plus, you'll be
able to make many more pies out of a pound of cherries.
Place
cherry embeds all around the perimeter. Then, pour more gel over the
top of the cherries.

Place your whipped
dollop in the middle of the pie. Straighten and trim your wicks.

Voila!
You've just made a 5" Cherry Pie! That was pretty darn easy, wasn't
it? |
